Privacy policy

Adgentec is a paid social creative and media buying company in Los Angeles, California. This policy covers adgentec.com and the text message program you can join through the form at adgentec.com/start. It says what we collect, what we do with it, and who else handles it. If you become a client, the agreement you sign covers the work itself, including access to your ad accounts.

What you give us

The form on our start page asks for your name, work email, website, monthly ad spend band and what you want more of. You can add a mobile number, a line about what you sell, and anything else you want us to know. If you email, call or text us, we receive whatever you send.

If you agree to texts, we also keep a record of that consent: the date and time, your IP address, the page you were on and the exact wording you agreed to. We keep a record of any opt out too.

What is collected automatically

• Google Analytics measures visits, pages viewed, rough location and the kind of device used. It sets cookies.
• Microsoft Clarity records how visitors move through a page, including clicks and scrolling, and can replay a visit. It sets cookies. Clarity masks what is typed into form fields by default.
• Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs, which include IP address and browser type. When the form is submitted we hold the sender's IP address in memory for about ten minutes to stop floods of submissions.
• Our typefaces load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.

We do not run advertising pixels on this site.

What we use it for

To reply to you, to work out whether we are a fit, to text you if you asked us to, to see which pages are doing their job, and to keep the form from being abused. We do not build advertising audiences from visitors to this site.

The text message program

• You opt in by entering a mobile number on our form and actively ticking the consent box. The box is never ticked for you.
• Consent is not a condition of buying anything or of talking to us. You can email or call instead.
• We text to confirm we received your inquiry, ask a few short questions about your business and your goal, and offer times for a call with a strategist. We do not send promotional texts through this program.
• Texts in this program are written and sent by automated software. A strategist on our team follows up on every inquiry.
• Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP at any time to opt out. You will get one final message confirming it. You can also opt out by emailing or calling us. We act on opt outs right away where we can, and always within 10 business days.

Text messaging is not a secure channel. Please do not text passwords, ad account logins or payment details.

Mobile information and sharing

We do not share your mobile phone number, your text messages or your SMS opt in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is not sold. Text messaging originator opt in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. The only exception is the service providers that deliver our text messages and operate our inquiry system, and only so they can provide that service to us.

Who else handles your information

Service providers that work on our behalf: Vercel hosts the site. Resend delivers form submissions to our inbox. Our text messaging provider delivers and operates the text program. Google provides analytics and fonts. Microsoft provides Clarity. Our email provider stores the messages we receive. Each handles data only to provide its service to us.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross context behavioral advertising. We will disclose information if a law or court order requires it, or to a successor if the business is sold, under the same commitments.

Cookies and Do Not Track

You can block or delete cookies in your browser, and Google offers a browser add on that opts you out of Google Analytics. The site works without them. Browsers can send a Do Not Track signal. Google Analytics and Clarity on this site do not currently change their behavior in response to it.

How long we keep it

Inquiries and text conversations are kept for as long as we are talking with you, and afterwards for ordinary business record keeping. Consent and opt out records are kept for at least four years, so we can show we had your permission to text you. Analytics data is kept for the period set in each tool.

Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will delete what we are not required to keep. California residents have these rights under the CCPA, along with the right not to be treated differently for using them. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have similar rights under the GDPR, including the right to object and to complain to your local regulator. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days.

Children

This site and the text program are for businesses and for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and access to our inbox and tools is limited to our team. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you if a breach affects your information.

Changes

If this policy changes we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If we ever change how we use mobile numbers, we will ask for your consent again first.
